Baby Shower!!

This past weekend I went to Birmingham for my sister Anna's baby shower. I went up there Friday night and the shower was Saturday morning. It was a nasty day on Saturday, we woke up to it storming! She had a very good turn out at her shower, it was so nice! The only thing missing was our sister Sara, she had to stay in Troy b/c of her internship. The shower was held at our Aunt's house and it was decorated so cute. On the front door they had a blue and pink bow (keep in mind, we have no clue what sex the babies are and won't find out til they are born), they had these wrought iron baby carriages filled with flowers on the tables. On the table that held the food were pictures of Anna and Cole when they were babies. The food was great, it was brunch food, and I have to say that brunch food is probably my favorite. She got so many nice gifts. She is so lucky to have such great friends and family. These babies are already so loved. It was such a nice weekend. I always love getting to spend time with my sister. While I was there I got to feel those precious babies move and that was such a neat feeling. It was a great day. Here are just a few pictures I took at the shower.

The rest of my weekend when I got home from birmingham was pretty good. I just relaxed and did some cleaning around the house. I had a long weekend b/c Monday was Confederate Memorial Day so we had that day off work, I know I get some crazy holidays off but I am not complaining. That's one good thing about working for the county!!

Grilling Out!

Ever since this weather has gotten so beautiful it's been so nice to be outside. Now when Rob and I come home from work we always enjoy sitting out on our back deck and grilling out.

The other night Rob grilled some barbeque pork chops, and I have to say they were some of the BEST pork chops we have ever had! We had barbeque pork chops, baked beans, cheesy rice and bisquits. It was a very delicious meal!

I am so glad that the weather is so nice because we will probably be grilling out for every meal now for a while.

Sister Date!!

On April Fool's Day my sister Sara and I had a Sister date. We went to dinner and then to a movie. We ate at Sister's here in Troy and it was wonderful, oh how I love Sister's Food. If any of you reading this don't know what Sister's is, it's a restaurant here in Troy that has amazing home cooked food. After dinner we went to the movies and saw "The Last Song". The movie was ok, I am not a big fan of Miley Cyrus. I think that the movie would have been a little better had another actress been in that role. I had such a great time hanging out with my sister. She is graduating in a month and she is going to be leaving Troy, this makes me very sad. I am going to miss her a lot. Having this Sister Date was a lot of fun!!!

Babies

Okay so I have a lot of friends who have just had babies or have babies on the way, it's crazy! It seems like everyone is pregnant these days or at least a lot of people that I know. I absolutely love all of these adorable babies. Back at the beginning of March our friends Matt and Jennifer who live in Dothan had a beautiful baby boy named Grayson, we headed to Dothan that evening after I got off work to see them and meet precious Grayson. They are some of our best friends and we wouldn't have missed being there for the world. We can't wait to watch this little one grow up. Here are a few pics.

About two weeks ago or so we had some visitors. Rob's cousin Blaise, Blaise's mom and girlfriend Courtney and their precious baby Rowan that was born in January. They were on their way back to Daphne from Huntsville and decided to stop in Troy to see us. We were so excited, I had not seen Baby Rowan yet or met Courtney. We all had a wonderful visit! I am hoping that we can all be close so that our kids can grow up together. Blaise and Rob our like brothers so I can't imagine not having them in our lives. Here are a few pictures from their visit.
On April Fool's Day my friend Casey had a precious baby girl named Conley. I was off work that Friday for Good Friday and had to go to Montgomery to the doctor. After I got done at the doctor I went and visited Casey and her precious baby girl in the hospital. She was the tiniest, cutest thing i've ever seen. Casey was doing great and so was baby. I am so glad that I was able to stop by and visit. She is going to be such a good mommy. Here are a few pictures.

My cousin Katie had a baby shower at the end of March in Birmingham. I went up for the day because I wouldn't have missed being there for the world. Family is SO important to me. She is due with baby Rogers at the beginning of June, so she doesn't have much longer. We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet the newest addition to our family. Here is a picture of some of my family at the baby shower.

So as you can see a lot of people in my life are having or have had babies. Also as I have mentioned before my sister Anna is due with Twins around the end of August so then I will get to be an aunt to 2 precious babies. There is nothing sweeter than a precious newborn baby. I can't wait to watch all of these precious babies grow.

Sara's Banquet

A few weeks ago my sister Sara had a banquet for one of the clubs that she is in, and she was getting recognized. My mom was SO upset when she found out that she couldn't come and be there for my sister. If any of you know my mom, that is a big deal b/c when any of us are getting recognized for something she wants to be there. So I went in my mom's place to support Sara and to take some pictures for her. Earlier that week my mom had called me and said that my dad wanted to come but we wanted it to be a surprise for Sara. So I had to tell Sara that Rob wanted to come so that she would get another ticket for the banquet. She thought it was so sweet that Rob would want to come to a banquet, little did she know. My dad got here that Friday and we went and picked Sara up at her apartment and to her surprise dad was in the car. She was VERY surprised, it is very rare for my dad to come to anything without my mom, so it was very sweet that he came for Sara. It was a very nice banquet, we were so glad we could be there for my sister.
