22 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 22 weeks and 1 day!!

Size of baby:(this is according to thebump.com) Baby's now the size of a Papaya!
Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Maternity Clothes: I think I have gained about 3 or 4 lbs so far. Definitely wearing maternity clothes. I can still wear a few and I mean like 1 or 2 of my regular tops the rest are maternity and all my pants are maternity.

Gender: It's a BOY!! Jack Leslie Mosley. We are so excited!

Movement: Definitely feeling movement now. Feeling little kicks and punches. I love when I lay in bed at night and feel him move. I also love that Rob can feel him now. It's just truly amazing that this little guy is growing inside me.

Food Cravings: I have just started having a food craving. My food craving right now is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, you know the cereal. I know funny craving, but I could eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner and be satisfied...haha.

What I miss: I don't miss anything. I have had a great pregnancy so far. I am loving every minute.

Sleep: There have been a few nights where I haven't been able to sleep, I just can't seem to shut my mind off sometimes. It's starting to get a little uncomfortable in the bed, like when I toss and turn. But nothing too bad yet!

Symptoms: Like I said before, I have had a great pregnancy so far. No major symptoms! I consider myself very lucky.

Best Moment this week: Getting baby boy's crib and bedding in and getting it all put together! And getting to see my little man on the ultrasound screen. I love watching him grow!

What I am looking forward to: Registering and getting more things done to the nursery!

22 weeks!
I can't believe I am already at 22 weeks. This little man will be here before we know it!

Getting things ready!

Rob and I have started getting things ready for our little man. I was having trouble sleeping at night, I couldn't sleep. All I could think about was all the things that we needed to get done before baby boy gets here. So the other weekend, we got started. We cleaned out both guest bedroom closets, oh my gosh I didn't know I had so much stuff. The room where the nursery is going to be, I threw away some things, got Rob to take a few things to the attic and then I will give some things to Goodwill. The things I wanted to keep in the house were moved to the other guest bedroom closet. Well, that closet holds all my wedding gifts that I don't have a place for right now, so I had to straighten all that out in order to fit in all these other things. It was a little overwhelming at first, but we got it done. Jack's closet is all cleaned out and ready for him. He's even got a few outfits hanging in there already.

Our little man's crib came in about a week ago and I was so excited! It came during the week so I wasn't going to ask Rob to take it out and put it together when he got off work, I was going to try and wait until he was ready, being as he had to do most of the work. And in order for this crib to be put together, Rob had to take apart 2 beds, the beds in both guest bedrooms. He also had to put one of those beds back together in the other guest bedroom that way we could go ahead and put the crib in the nursery. And then after he did that he had to put the crib together. Lots of work! I got home and Rob knew that I was going to be excited/ready to get it put together and see what it looked like, and as I was sitting there he was like, ok let's get started. I was thrilled! I think he was a little excited about it too. Once we got all that done, the crib looks great, I LOVE IT! It is crazy to walk in that room now and see a baby crib. Every morning I walk in there and just look at it, thinking about my baby boy that will be sleeping in there soon. Here a few pictures of my wonderful husband putting together our sons crib.

The final product...I am so happy with this crib, I love it!

His bedding also came in last week and now this week the mattress came in. So the crib is ready to go! I have washed the bedding and it's already on the bed. Now I am waiting on a dresser/changing table, I am getting that from home. The dresser that was in my sisters room is getting refinished and painted for us to put in our nursery, hopefully it won't be too long before that gets finished. Rob and I are going to register this weekend and get that out of the way also we are going to order a glider. I am so happy that this nursery is coming together I still have to get stuff to hang on the walls. I am trying to be on top of things, I want everything done before he gets here and it's less I have to worry about. Once things are done I will post pictures of the final look of the nursery.

A Special Moment!

Last night while I was laying in bed watching tv I felt a few flutters in my stomach. I have been having baby Jack flutters for about 2 weeks or so now. I figured while I was just laying there that I would just put my hands on my belly and leave them there for a little bit. Well as I was laying there with my hands on my belly I felt a little thump. I was pretty sure it was Jack but I wasn't sure, I have never felt him on the outside of my belly before. So I waited another few minutes and sure enough there were two more little thumps. I couldn't believe it, I was actually feeling my baby boy move on the outside of my belly. (When Rob and I went to the movies Sunday afternoon, I had my arms crossed resting on my belly and I thought at one point that I felt a thump but I wasn't sure and I never felt it again that day). Rob was in the den so I yelled to him to tell him that I had just felt our son. He came in the bedroom and layed down and I told him to put his hand on my belly, that he might have to leave it there for a little bit in order to feel something. I wasn't sure if he would be able to feel it. It's not a very strong thump right now, just ever so slightly. Well, he kept his hand there for a few and never felt anything. So we kept watching tv, and then I felt a big thump on my right side and I made Rob put his hand back on my belly. He waited a a few minutes and sure enough Jack started kicking or punching and he got to feel him twice.
This was such a special moment for both of us. I don't think I can even begin to describe what we both felt at that moment. It's so amazing that this precious boy is growing inside of me and in just a few months we will finally get to meet him. I am so happy that Rob was able to feel our son move, now I feel like he is more a part of this pregnancy. All I can say is that it was just a very special moment in the Mosley house last night!

3 Years

Three years ago yesterday, May 17, 2008 I married the love of my life. That day was one of the best/happiest days of my life. Rob is not only my husband, but he is my best friend. He is an amazing man and an amazing husband and I know he is going to be an even more amazing father. I thank God everyday for putting him in my life. Now that we are expecting our first child I can't wait to see him with our precious boy. He is going to be such a good father. I really don't know what I would do if he weren't in my life. I love Rob so much, there aren't enough words to express just how much I love this man.
I look foward to many more years with you and making many more wonderful memories! I love you Rob Mosley!!

We have a Name

First I want to Thank all of you for all the sweet words ya'll have left me lately. I have had a lot going on ever since we found out the sex of Baby Mosley. We found out Friday May 6th, that night and all through Saturday I had some kind of virus which was no fun. I started to feel better on that Sunday and then all that following week I was in Montgomery for a class for my work. Then this past week my sweet grandmother passed away (my mothers mom). I had to head up to Birmingham for the week to help my mom out. My sister and her husband were out of town at the beach and mom was in charge of keeping the twins, this had been planned before my grandmother got sick. So I headed up there to help with the babies so my mom could get things done and so she didn't go crazy. My grandmother, we called her Mimi, was a very special lady and she will be dearly missed. But we know that she is in Heaven with Jack(my grandfather) and she is suffering no more.

Me & Mimi at my wedding in May 2008

This is my first week at home in 2 weeks so that is why I am just now sitting down to do this post.

We have come up with a name for our baby boy. Before we had our gender ultrasound we just knew this baby was going to be a girl, so we already had a girl name picked out. We had talked about a few boy names but not many. When she told us boy, we were like, what are we going to name him. We talked about it for a few to make sure we liked it before we told everyone. So without further ado, his name is

Jack was my grandfather's name(my moms dad) and Leslie was Rob's grandfather's(his dads dad) middle name. So he is named after both of his great grandfathers. I am so in LOVE with his name. Having a name for our little boy now definitely makes it more real. And that there really is a real little person growing inside of me which I think is absolutely amazing. I feel so extremely blessed that I get to be a mother to this precious boy. I love him SO much already.

A Wonderful Day! We are having.......

I can't believe that I am typing this post. Rob and I found out today what Baby Mosley will be.My appt. was at 10:30 this morning, my mom (MaeMae) and Rob's dad (Pop) joined us. I wanted them to be there and share in finding out what their grandchild would be. I could tell that they both enjoyed being in the room and seeing the baby on the ultrasound screen.

Well, is it a boy or a girl???

The poll that I have posted a girl is winning, but only slightly.

We found out that it is a.....

BOY!!! Rob and I are so thrilled to be welcoming a SON into our family. It is so crazy! Finding out what this baby is has definitely made this all seem so much more real. I still can't believe it. Rob and I both thought that it was going to be a girl. I had a girl stuck in my head so when she told us that it was a boy, I was shocked! Rob nor I could care either way what it was, we just wanted our baby to be healthy. And HE is, HE is measuring right on track and everything looks good.

Now the planning and the shopping begins! I cannot believe that I am going to have a son, I am SOO excited. Rob and I are SO blessed and thankful that GOD is blessing us with this child. I am so overwhelmed and excited I just can't think of anything else to say at this moment.

We are still thinking of names. It's such a tough decision b/c this is something he will have to live with for the rest of his life. We have thought of a few names but it's hard to make that final decision. I think we will talk a lot about it this weekend and hopefully come up with something soon.

AHHHHHH...I'm SOOO excited!!!!!

Here are a few more pics of our baby BOY!

18 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 18 weeks!!

Size of baby:(this is according to thebump.com) Baby's now the size of a sweet potato!Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Maternity Clothes: I think I have gained about 2 lbs so far. I am definitely wearing maternity pants and some maternity tops. They are just more comfortable.

Gender: WE FIND OUT THE GENDER OF BABY MOSLEY TOMORROW(FRIDAY)!!! We are so excited and can't wait

Movement: I'm not sure if I have felt movement. I felt a few flutters but I'm not sure if it's gas or the baby.

Food Cravings: no food cravings. The only time I really want something is if I see or smell something someone else has and then it usually makes me want whatever it is..hah.

What I miss: nothing really. I waited for this pregnancy too long. I am going to try and enjoy each moment no matter what it is.

Sleep:  No problems in the sleeping dept. yet!

Symptoms: The only symptom I have had is I'm just more tired. I also have trouble eating. I get full really quick and if I eat too much I do not feel good, it seems like the food just sits in my stomach. My doc told me to just eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 big meals.

Best Moment this week: We will be finding out what our little one will be. I have loved watching my belly grow knowing that that is our child growing in there.

What I am looking forward to: Finding out if we are having a daughter or a son!!!

I have not taken many belly pictures. I have meant to, but I always seem to forget. Plus I do not like pictures of myself. But here are 2 pictures, since everyone has been asking for some.

10 weeks

17 weeks

I will probably have a hard time sleeping tonight b/c I am so excited about tomorrow. Rob nor I care what gender our baby is, we just hope it's healthy and measuing right on track. Don't worry another post will be up sometime tomorrow.

Our Easter Weekend

Yes, I know, I'm a little behind. I am trying to catch up. Rob and I spent our Easter weekend here,
in Destin. I have been dying to go to the beach. I needed to soak up some sun on this white pregnant body and I was also craving some good seafood. It was nice to get out of town for the weekend. We had a great time, we just relaxed. Allie had the best time I think. Whoever said that wiener dogs can't swim, well they are wrong. Our wiener dog can, and she LOVES it. I got a few videos of her swimming that I will have to post at some point, it's so cute. She was defintely worn out by the end of our trip. I always love getting away to Destin, it's so nice and peaceful. I am looking forward to our next trip down there.

**For all of you that have asked, I promise that a belly picture is coming soon.**
