Clean Teeth!!

We have a little boy who loves to brush his teeth. The other day we went to Wal-Mart and while we were there we got Jack an Elmo toothbrush and Jake & the Neverland Pirates toothpaste. He was excited. As soon as we got home he ran to the bathroom saying "teeth, teeth". We are going to make brushing teeth part of his nightly routine, so we put the toothbrush and toothpaste up and waited until bath time. The minute we mentioned it was bath time, he ran to bathroom saying "teeth, teeth". So we sat him on the counter and put a tiny drop of toothpaste on the brush. Jack sat there so excited and opened his mouth and let Rob brush his teeth. Rob then let go of the toothbrush and we let Jack do it on his own. He thought he was such a big boy, he loved it. Needless to say, when we were finished, he pitched a fit bc he wanted to brush his teeth all night...haha.
I know that this is something new and fun to him right now, but I hope he always enjoys brushing his teeth. His Papa will be so proud ;)!!

The Zoo!!

This past weekend we took Jack to The Montgomery Zoo. We met up with our friends the Adams and headed to Montgomery first thing Saturday morning. The whole drive we were worried about rain, just hoping it would hold off for us to walk through the zoo. It never rained, thank the Lord.

We were so excited about taking the babies to the zoo. We had talked to Jack about all the animals and he could make many of the animal sounds as well as say their name. We saw monkeys, birds, elephants, giraffes, zebras, bears, lions and more.

Jack & Maggie...ready to go!!

Jack loved it and so did Maggie. It was fun seeing what he thought of each animal. I think it will be even more fun next year when he is a little older. His absolute favorite though was not an animal, it was the skylift that they have going over the zoo that you can ride. Every time we would pass it, he would point and say "ride, ride".

Me and My sweet boy!

It was so nice just being outside and doing something different. We will definitely be making a trip back to the zoo soon.

Park Days!!

Over the past few weekends it has been beautiful outside. So my friend Holly and I decided to get together and start taking the babies to the park. We have had SO MUCH FUN!! It's nice to get outside on beautiful days and let the babies run around. Maggie & Jack's favorite thing to do is swing! The last time we went, Jack got a little more interested in going down the slide but swinging is his favorite!

I love having a park to take our kids too, where they can run around and have fun together. I don't mind swinging or going down the slide either, I feel like a kid again. I love experiencing these moments with Jack.

Swinging is so much fun!!
These moments with Jack are going by so fast, but we are having fun and enjoying every second!

Best Friends!!

I love having a best friend and I'm happy that Jack has a best friend to grow up with. We love us some Holly & Maggie!!

18 Months!!

Jack turned 18 months on March 27th. I think I have said this every monthly post I do of him, but where does the time go?!

I am absolutely LOVING this age! He is so much fun and has so much personality. He definitely has his moments but overall he is such a good baby/toddler.

Jack is talking up a storm these days. Just about anything you say, he will try to say. Let's see if I can think of just a few of the words he's saying these days. He says, Mama, Dada, Allie, Hey, Bye Bye, Love You, Thank You, Night night, All gone, More, Mickey, Choo Choo and No No(which is his favorite). Those are just a few words in his vocabulary!

He loves daycare and is still the only boy in his class. I am hoping one day soon he will be around a few boys.

He loves juice and milk and he's a very good eater. He loves fruit and we are working on the veggies. He is obssessed with Mickey and loves Elmo(melmo as Jack would say).

He loves Bubbles. I finally got a bubble machine bc I got tired of blowing so many bubbles.

He loves for me to rock him to sleep, which I absolutely love and will always cherish. He went through a time where he didn't want to be rocked, he just wanted to be layed down. I'm glad he wants to be rocked again, even if it only lasts a little while.

In the past few months, we have had visits from Aunt Saysee. Jack loves Aunt Saysee and thinks she is so much fun! We can't wait for her to come back and visit.

Brushing Aunt Saysee's hair!

We have gone to Auburn to visit my grandparents, Jack's great grandparents, Mimi Sara & Papa. We had a lot of fun spending time with them. I wish I had gotten a picture of Jack with both of them but he wasn't having it.

Jack riding on Papa's walker. He loved it and Papa did too :)!!

playing outside at Mimi Sara & Papa's

We had a visit from Pop, Rob's dad and had so much fun. Jack loves his Pop! It was a beautiful day so we spent most of our time outside.

Jack loves Allie. I can't say the feeling is mutal, Allie does love Jack but sometimes he is a little too rough with her. But if he has a ball or food, she will be right up under him.

Jack, you are the love of our life, you bring so much happiness and joy to us! We have no idea what we did before you. You are so much fun and are so funny these days. I cherish every moment with you. You are growing too fast, but I look forward to each stage and watching you grow and learn. We love you so much buddy!! Love, Mama & Dada

Easter 2013!

Ok, I'm back! Sorry for the lack of posts. Let me fill you in on our Easter this year. I have to say that this year was so much fun. Last Easter Jack was only 6 months old, this year he is 18 months old and he loved finding easter eggs that the easter bunny had left. So much fun!!

Wow, at what a difference a year makes! Easter 2012 to Easter 2013!!

We went to Monroeville and spent Easter with my mom. My dad was gone on a hunting trip, his hunting trip is always at the end of March and it just so happened Easter fell on that weekend this year. My sisters, well, Sara had to work and Anna and her family had already planned to run the Rumpshaker 5K and that was on Saturday so they stayed in Birmingham. So for Easter it was just me, Rob, Jack and my mom.

We got to my parents house Saturday morning. My mom had gotten a bubble machine and Jack was obsessed, he loves bubbles!! We spent most of our time outside it was such a beautiful weekend. We played with the bubble machine a while and then Jack went for a ride in the wagon, he also got to help MaeMae feed the birds, well fill up the feeders with bird seed.

Saturday afternoon after Jack had his nap we went out to the nursing home to visit my great aunt Alice, who is 101. She enjoyed seeing Jack and we enjoyed spending some time with her. After that we made a trip to WalMart to get a few things and then we to David's Catfish House to eat that evening.

We woke up Sunday morning and got ready for church and took a few pictures.

CUTIE...LOVE HIM!!
I was a little nervous to leave Jack in the nursery because he is usually very hesitant if he is somewhere that he is not familiar with. We got to the nursery I put him down and the lady in the nursery got out a fire truck and he loved it. I walked out and they said he was great the whole time, thank goodness.

After church we took a few pictures then came back to the house so Jack could see what the easter bunny had brought him and to hunt easter eggs.

I love my family!!

The Easter bunny brought him mickey mouse pj's with a cape, a mickey sippy cup, letters and numbers for the bathtub, a new mickey dvd (thank goodness), and a t-ball set. He could not wait to open the t-ball set, it was so cute.

He could not wait to open that t-ball set :)

Once we saw what the bunny had brought we headed outside to hunt some eggs. I thought that probably after picking up one or two eggs that Jack would lose interest in finding them, that was not the case. He loved picking up each and every one and putting them in his basket. It was so much fun.

I'm ready to go find some eggs!!

Hunting eggs was so much fun, even Allie had to help!

After hunting eggs we played with the t-ball set a little then we went inside to eat lunch. After lunch we headed back to Troy.

He loved his t-ball set!!

It was such a great weekend and so much fun! I can't wait to see what the Easter's to come will be like. Kids bring so much fun and joy to your life. I could not imagine my life without my little buddy. Thank you MaeMae for having us, we had a blast!
