30 weeks and few other things!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 30 weeks! I can't believe we are in the 30's now.

Size of Baby: Baby's now the size of a squash!(according to thebump.com)As baby's skin smoothes out, her brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. She's also adding some brawn -- her grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.
Total Weight Gain/Maternity Clothes: Not sure what the total weight I have gained, when I get a little closer I'm going to ask my doctor just out of curiosity. I am wearing all maternity clothes except for like one or two tops.

Gender: It's a Boy! Jack Leslie Mosley

Movement: We definitely have one active little boy. I feel him moving all throughout the day. It's so fun at night when Rob and I are laying in bed watching tv, we love just laying there watching my belly move. He still punches but now I can feel and see him rolling around, it's kinda cool. I love every moment of it!

What I miss: I really don't miss anything. I have enjoyed being pregnant!

Food Cravings: none lately. I love anything sweet :)!

Sleep: Definitely getting harder. It is so hard for me to get comfortable at night. I guess it's getting me ready for Jack!

Symptoms: more heartburn and a little lower back pain. I am also getting tired again like I was in the first trimester.

Best Moment of the Week: Just feeling my little man move, knowing that he is still growing! Also getting him on a daycare list! I have been worrying about this, so this is another thing I can check off my list :)!

What I am Looking forward To: Getting his room finished and my baby shower in August! I am also looking forward to the next 10 weeks and getting that much closer to meeting our little man!! We can't wait :)!

30 weeks!

I really can't believe we are getting so close to meeting Jack. I am getting anxious! I am hoping we can finish up on his nursery soon, just waiting on the glider to come in. I want everything in place and organized by the time he gets here. Lots to do between now and then!
For my birthday my mom got me a WONDERFUL birthday gift. She walked in with a baby bathtub full of all kinds of goodies/necessities for Jack! I am so blessed and thankful to have such a wonderful mother. Jack is so blessed to have such a wonderful MaeMae!

Since I last blogged I attended the very first birthday party for these little people, my precious niece and nephew, Ellen & Cole. I can't believe that they are a year old. They have such cute personalities and it's been so fun to watch them grow. Anna did a wonderful job pulling off their cupcake themed birthday party. I am sure she will post more about it. They had a great time!

*69 days until Jack arrives!* (if he's on time)

I have a new nephew!

William Edwin Gresham was born Friday, June 24, 2011. I don't remember the exact time, it was around 11:45pm. It all happened so fast. I talked to Anna earlier that afternoon to find out how she was feeling. She said she was having contractions, which she had been for a while now, but she said that these felt different. She told me she was going to the hospital around 3:30 to get monitored and to see what was going on. I called her when I got off work at 5 to see if I needed to head that way to watch the twins. She said they had sent her home b/c she wasn't progressing at all. So I figured I would just wait until the next day to see how everything was. I got a call around 10:30 pm and it was Anna, in extreme pain, saying that they were heading to the hospital and that Sara was with the babies. Well if any of you know my sister Sara, I knew she was freaking out knowing that she was in charge of the twins. I called Sara and she was doing ok, luckily the twins were asleep and they do sleep through the night. She was just worried about the next morning if Anna and Cole had to stay at the hospital. I got a text around 11:35ish saying that Anna was already at 5cm and then about 10 min later I got another text with a picture saying that he was here. I couldn't believe it, I don't think Anna and Cole could believe it either. It went really fast!! I talked to Anna shortly after and she sounded great!

None of us were in Birmingham b/c no one knew that William would be making his grand entrance into the world so early. We all headed to Birmingham early Saturday morning. I got there first and headed straight to Anna and Cole's house to help Sara with the twins. My mom and dad went straight to the hospital to meet their new grandson. Sara did a GREAT job with the twins, we put them down for a nap and my cousin Julie and Katie came over to sit while Sara and I headed to the hospital to meet our new nephew.
William is so cute and perfect. He made the cutest little noises. Anna looked great too, she has looked great after both of her births. Mama and baby were doing well.
We went back to Anna's that evening to spend time with the twins. I can't believe how big they are getting and I can't believe they will be a year old soon. Time sure does go by fast. You know I couldn't leave Birmingham without getting a few pictures of these two.

Ellen and Cole have such cute little personalities now. They are so much fun and just too darn cute not to post tons of pictures of them. They make the cutest little subjects. I could just eat them up. Anna, Cole and William came home from the hospital that Sunday. I stayed around for a little while to visit with them at home and then I headed back to Troy. I will be going back up there in about 2wks for the twins 1st birthday :)! Anna and Cole are such great parents and I couldn't be happier for them. I can't wait to watch all my babies grow. This is such an exciting time in our family, having all these babies around. Seeing William made me so excited about Jack being here, I can't wait! Here are a few more pictures of William.

My 30th!

Yesterday I said goodbye to my 20's and celebrated my 30th birthday! I can't believe that I am 30, not that I think 30 is old, it just always seemed so far away. I am so thankful to be here to celebrate another year.

My husband surprised me with an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, I was so excited. I had said a few weeks ago how good an ice cream cake would be, and he remembered. Jack and I are really going to enjoy it. I have the BEST husband and I love him so much! He also took me out to eat at Bonefish Grill in Montgomery. I have to say that I had a great 30th!! I have lots to be thankful for and celebrate this year. My gift is growing in my belly right now, I am so ready for October! Thank you all who left me Happy Birthday wishes on Facebook, it really means a lot to me.

**Happy 1st Birthday today to my babies, Ellen McCall Gresham and Cole Robinson Gresham, Jr. I love you both very much and can't believe it's already been a year, you are growing so fast! Love, Aunt Darlee

Double Digits!

I can't believe the countdown to Jack is in the double digits now. It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant and we had like two hundred and something days left. I have had such a good pregnancy so far that it seems to be flying by. Before you know it, we will be holding our little boy! We can't wait to meet him and hold him and love on him. Don't get me wrong, Rob and I are enjoying our time with it being just us but we can't wait to meet our little guy.
His nursery is coming together. The crib is up and the bedding is on. We have his dresser/changing table now which turned out sooo good. It was my sisters dresser from home and we got a guy to paint it to match the crib, now I just have to find some handles for the drawers. We have ordered the glider and are waiting for it to come in. Once we have the glider in place I will be able to start hanging things on the walls. So slowly but surely it's coming together. He even has a few clothes in his closet.
He is one active little guy especially at night. I love feeling all his little movements. It's just so amazing that a tiny little person can be growing and forming inside you. This is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced and I am loving every minute!! Jack Leslie Mosley, your Mommy and Daddy can't wait to meet you!

26 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 26 weeks 4 days

Size of Baby: (according to thebump.com) Your baby is the size of an eggplant! Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

Total Weight Gain/Loss:Maternity Clothes: I am not quite sure how much weight I have gained so far. I am not worrying about it unless my doctor sees that I am gaining too much or too little. I am definitely wearing maternity clothes. I can still wear one or two of my regular tops but all my pants are maternity.

Gender: It's a BOY! Jack Leslie Mosley

Movement: All the time. He is one active little boy at night. As soon as I lay in the bed to watch tv, he starts moving all around. The other night my stomach was going crazy, Rob and I enjoyed watching my belly move and were in such awe that there is a little person growing inside me. I love every little movement he makes!

What I miss: I really don't miss a thing. I have had a great pregnancy so far so I can't complain too much about anything. I am enjoying every moment.

Food Cravings: No crazy food cravings. I still enjoy my bowl or two of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Sleep: I have a little trouble sleeping. I just really have trouble getting comfortable. It's not too bad yet.

Symptoms: Over the past few weeks I have started getting a little heartburn, but nothing too bad.

Best Moment of the Week: We had a doctors appt. last Wednesday and got to see our little guy on the ultrasound screen. We LOVE every chance we get to see him.

What I am looking forward to: Getting everything ready for Jack. And my baby shower in August.

26 wks 2 days

Here are few pictures of our baby boy at 22 weeks.

I love this picture of his little arm and hand.

This is my favorite! His tiny foot. I LOVE that litte foot!!

Smocked Auctions!

I have become obsessed with all things baby, especially clothes. All I do is think about baby stuff all day. A while back before I ever knew what I was having, my sister Anna told me about this site on facebook that she liked called Smocked Auctions. So, I went and I liked their page. Smocked Auctions is a site on facebook and every Tues. and Thurs. nights at 8:30 they put up a few cute smocked outfits. Now you see, you have to be fast b/c they only have a limited number and if you aren't fast enough to comment under the outfit you want, then you don't get it. Well I sat back and watched for awhile while other people bid on these cute outfits. After I knew what I was having, I figured I'd give it a try if I really like something. So last week I saw this cute bulldozer Jon Jon that I just had to have. So I put my information under the picture and waited till the next morning to see if my name was on the winning list. And it was, I had gotten the bulldozer Jon Jon. This is the first smocked outfit that Jack has and I was so excited about it. When it came in the mail it was even cuter than in the picture. I ordered a 9 month b/c he will be 9 months in the summer time and this Jon Jon will be perfect. Here is a picture of his first smocked outfit.

You have to be careful b/c the Smocked Auctions page is addictive. They always have cute stuff and it's hard to just sit back and not bid on something especially when you've gotten something from them before. I think I could go broke getting clothes for my little man. I should be getting another Jon Jon in soon so I will have to post a picture of that one too.

On another note my cousin Julie sent me the cutest cutest outfit for Jack. I love it!! When I opened it, I thought it was the cutest thing I have seen. She is so thoughtful. She told me that she saw this and it already had his name on it and she just couldn't resist getting for him. Thank you so much Julie, we love you very much.

22 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 22 weeks and 1 day!!

Size of baby:(this is according to thebump.com) Baby's now the size of a Papaya!
Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Maternity Clothes: I think I have gained about 3 or 4 lbs so far. Definitely wearing maternity clothes. I can still wear a few and I mean like 1 or 2 of my regular tops the rest are maternity and all my pants are maternity.

Gender: It's a BOY!! Jack Leslie Mosley. We are so excited!

Movement: Definitely feeling movement now. Feeling little kicks and punches. I love when I lay in bed at night and feel him move. I also love that Rob can feel him now. It's just truly amazing that this little guy is growing inside me.

Food Cravings: I have just started having a food craving. My food craving right now is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, you know the cereal. I know funny craving, but I could eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner and be satisfied...haha.

What I miss: I don't miss anything. I have had a great pregnancy so far. I am loving every minute.

Sleep: There have been a few nights where I haven't been able to sleep, I just can't seem to shut my mind off sometimes. It's starting to get a little uncomfortable in the bed, like when I toss and turn. But nothing too bad yet!

Symptoms: Like I said before, I have had a great pregnancy so far. No major symptoms! I consider myself very lucky.

Best Moment this week: Getting baby boy's crib and bedding in and getting it all put together! And getting to see my little man on the ultrasound screen. I love watching him grow!

What I am looking forward to: Registering and getting more things done to the nursery!

22 weeks!
I can't believe I am already at 22 weeks. This little man will be here before we know it!

Getting things ready!

Rob and I have started getting things ready for our little man. I was having trouble sleeping at night, I couldn't sleep. All I could think about was all the things that we needed to get done before baby boy gets here. So the other weekend, we got started. We cleaned out both guest bedroom closets, oh my gosh I didn't know I had so much stuff. The room where the nursery is going to be, I threw away some things, got Rob to take a few things to the attic and then I will give some things to Goodwill. The things I wanted to keep in the house were moved to the other guest bedroom closet. Well, that closet holds all my wedding gifts that I don't have a place for right now, so I had to straighten all that out in order to fit in all these other things. It was a little overwhelming at first, but we got it done. Jack's closet is all cleaned out and ready for him. He's even got a few outfits hanging in there already.

Our little man's crib came in about a week ago and I was so excited! It came during the week so I wasn't going to ask Rob to take it out and put it together when he got off work, I was going to try and wait until he was ready, being as he had to do most of the work. And in order for this crib to be put together, Rob had to take apart 2 beds, the beds in both guest bedrooms. He also had to put one of those beds back together in the other guest bedroom that way we could go ahead and put the crib in the nursery. And then after he did that he had to put the crib together. Lots of work! I got home and Rob knew that I was going to be excited/ready to get it put together and see what it looked like, and as I was sitting there he was like, ok let's get started. I was thrilled! I think he was a little excited about it too. Once we got all that done, the crib looks great, I LOVE IT! It is crazy to walk in that room now and see a baby crib. Every morning I walk in there and just look at it, thinking about my baby boy that will be sleeping in there soon. Here a few pictures of my wonderful husband putting together our sons crib.

The final product...I am so happy with this crib, I love it!

His bedding also came in last week and now this week the mattress came in. So the crib is ready to go! I have washed the bedding and it's already on the bed. Now I am waiting on a dresser/changing table, I am getting that from home. The dresser that was in my sisters room is getting refinished and painted for us to put in our nursery, hopefully it won't be too long before that gets finished. Rob and I are going to register this weekend and get that out of the way also we are going to order a glider. I am so happy that this nursery is coming together I still have to get stuff to hang on the walls. I am trying to be on top of things, I want everything done before he gets here and it's less I have to worry about. Once things are done I will post pictures of the final look of the nursery.
