Holding his head up!

Jack is getting better and better everyday at holding his head up. I try to put him on his stomach a little bit everyday. Most of the time he rolls over as soon as I put him on his tummy. Here are some really cute pictures I took the other day of my big boy holding his head up.

We love our little boy so much! It's so fun to watch him do and learn new things. He looks just like his daddy.

Three Months

Jack turned 3 months old on Tuesday! I can't believe it, he is growing so fast. I can't believe that 3 months ago we were in the hospital having our precious little boy. He has brought so much joy to our lives. We love him more and more each and every day. It's hard to remember how life was without him.

He is changing everyday. He smiles and talks all the time! He loves to lay on is playmat and look at all the animals. He loves his hands. He has recently found his hands and he loves to suck on them. I am not sure how much he weighs now. At his 2 months check up he was 10 and a half pounds, so I'm guessing he's around 11 or 12 pounds now. He has another check up at 4 months so we will find out then.

He is sleeping good. He takes about 3 naps a day and at night we put him to bed around 7:30 or 8 and he doesn't wake up till around 4am and then will go back to sleep until 7 or 8am. He has been eating about 4oz. every three hours but this week we are trying to up it to 5oz. He definitely looks like his daddy :)!

Santa!!

We took Jack to see Santa Claus since this is his first Christmas. We went to the Bass Pro Shop because they give you a free photo with Santa. It's really neat because they have this whole Santa's Wonderland set up with all these fun games. It will be a lot of fun to take Jack there in years to come. He might not always be very fond of getting his picture with Santa, but we will do this every year and at least going to the Bass Pro Shop he will have games to play with too.

Last night...

Jack slept in his room in his crib last night for the first time. He has been sleeping in the pack and play in our room since he was born. His room is on the other side of the house from our room so it was nice having him right there in our room. But it was time for him to move to his crib, I had said that before I go back to work I wanted him sleeping in his crib. We have a video monitor so I can see him at anytime. Jack did great and this mama did too!!

What we've been up to...

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I just can't seem to find the time to actually sit down at the computer and type a post. I have a precious little boy I have to take care of and when I do get a little bit of a break, I'm either washing bottles, washing clothes, straightening up or catching up on some sleep.

Since my last post Jack has started rolling over. When I put him down for tummy time, he rolls himself over. He has gotten better at holding his head up too. It's so crazy how fast he is changing. It's something new everyday.  Here is a video we got of him rolling over:

We also went and got Jack's first Christmas tree. He is still too young to know what is going on but this is something we will do each year. It was special to me and Rob since this will be the first Christmas we get to spend with Jack.

Also, Pop came to visit. We always love when Pop comes to visit. I cooked us a yummy lunch and then we played with Jack the rest of the time. Jack loves his Pop and we do too. Jack is so lucky to have such wondeful grandparents!!

It's amazing how fast he is growing. He smiles and laughs and coos at me everyday. The morning time is the best. Once he finishes his bottle and I get him changed, we sit and I talk to him and he will just smile and coo. I LOVE all these precious moments that I have with him.

Two Months

Our sweet little boy was 2 months old on Sunday. It is hard to believe. He is growing so fast!

Jack had his 2 month doctors appointment yesterday and the poor little guy had to get 3 shots :(. It made this mama reallly sad. He did great, he only fussed while they were giving him the shots and once I picked him up and loved on him a little he calmed down and he slept the whole way home.

Jack now weighs 10 and a half pounds and is 22 inches long. I was shocked! I knew he had grown and was getting heavier but didn't think he was a ten pounder yet. The doctor was very pleased with his growth especially since he was a little behind in the beginning. We are thrilled that we have a growing boy on our hands.

Jack is now smiling, he gave me his first smile a few weeks ago and has been smiling ever since. Now you have to work to get a smile out of him. I have to talk to him and make funny noises at him to get him to smile, he probably thinks that I am one crazy mama...haha.
Jack is doing great at tummy time. He is getting better and better at holding his head up. He also rolled over the other night while doing tummy time. It's only happened that one time but we couldn't believe it when it happened.
He has moved from newborn diapers to size one diapers. He can also fit it some of his 3 month outfits. This made me a little sad. My tiny little baby is growing up. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled he is growing, it just seems to be going by so fast. He is changing every day.

Rob and I are so in love with this little guy. We are amazed that he is ours every day. It is truely amazing how much love you can have for one little person. He has stolen our hearts and we are truely enjoying every moment with him.

Jack Leslie, you have completely blessed our lives. We love you more and more every day! Love, your Mama and your Daddy!

I am Thankful...

I am Thankful for my AMAZING husband. He is not only an amazing husband but an incredibly amazing father to our son. He is my best friend. I have no idea what I would do without him. I thank GOD every day for bringing him into my life.

I am Thankful for my wonderful family. I have the best mother and father that anyone could ever ask for. I have the best sisters, who are not only my sisters but my best friends. I could not ask for a better family. I thank GOD every day for giving me such a close family!

I am Thankful for our precious precious baby boy. He has definitely blessed our lives. Words can't even begin to describe how I feel about this little boy. He has stolen our heart! We are so thankful to GOD for allowing us to be parents to this amazing little guy.

I am Thankful for my precious family of 3! I love my two boys with all of my heart. GOD has surely surely blessed me. I thank HIM every day!!

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family. We had a great one!! My parents house was full of babies this year. We had such a great time being all together. Isn't that what Thanksgiving is for?!

Jack was 7 weeks old on Tuesday, he is changing every day. Last night I had him in his bouncy seat and I was sitting on the floor just talking to him and he gave me his first real smile! I almost cried, it was the sweetest smile I have ever seen. I am so in love with this little boy!Here is a picture I was able to get with my Iphone. Also, I was able to catch him smiling on video. Great Grandparents

Last Thursday Rob, Jack and I headed to Auburn to visit my grandparents, Jack's great grandparents. I had my 6 week checkup at the doctor in Montgomery that morning and then we headed to Auburn. Mimi Sara & Papa could not wait to see Jack. I think it's definitely amazing that Jack got to meet his great grandparents, he might not remember it, but we have pictures to tell him all about them. We had lunch, visited for a few and then headed back home. He was geat the entire time. I love going back to Auburn and especially seeing my grandparents. We can't wait to see them again at Christmas!

First Road Trip!

Jack went on his first road trip last weekend. He did great, he slept the entire trip. We headed to Monroeville to visit my parents. We also went because my best friend from high school was in town with her little girl, who was born a little over a month before Jack was born. They live in Virginia and I knew if I didn't go home to see her, who knows when I would see them again. We had such a great time and it was so wonderful to see her and her precious baby girl. I miss her so much and wish she didn't live so far away. Here are a few pictures of Molly Anne and Jack meeting for the first time.

On Saturday we went out to lunch with my great aunt Alice. This was Jack's first trip to a restaurant. It was so great to see her and she couldn't wait to see Jack. How neat is this, we were at lunch with a 0 year old and a 100  year old (Rob pointed that out). Alice is 100 years old and still getting around. She is such an amazing lady. We had such a great weekend in Monroeville. Jack enjoyed visiting with his MaeMae and Papa! He was so great the whole time we were there. He has been really fussy lately but while we were in M'ville, he was great. I think he likes being around his MaeMae and Papa. I told my mom that when we got back home if he started getting really fussy again that we were heading back to M'ville...haha. Here are a few more pictures from the weekend.
