Baby Mosley Poll

I logged on to my blog this morning to notice that now there are only 2 votes on my gender poll. Yesterday and last night there were a lot more than that. I am not sure what is going on. Could you please vote again?! Hopefully they will stick this time. This is the first time I have ever set up a poll on my blog. Does anyone know why it would have done that?  Please vote again :)

It's time for an update!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 12 weeks 6 days. I will be 13 weeks tomorrow

Size of baby:(this is according to thebump.com) Baby's now the size of a peach!Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords...savor this, their nonfunctional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with his head now only one third the size of his body. And intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy -- much more convenient.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Maternity Clothes: I have gained 1 pound since my last appt./I have one pair of my normal jeans I can fit in but I can't button them, I have to fasten them with a ponytail holder..haha. I am wearing maternity jeans.

Gender: Don't know yet. Will find out in about 6 weeks or so. We can't wait!

Movement: none yet

Food Cravings: no food cravings. The only time I really want something is if I see or smell something someone else has and then it usually makes me want whatever it is..hah.

What I miss: nothing really. I waited for this pregnancy too long. I am going to try and enjoy each moment no matter what it is.

Sleep:  No problems in the sleeping dept. yet!

Symptoms: The only symptom I have had is I'm just more tired. I also have trouble eating. I get full really quick and if I eat too much I do not feel good, it seems like the food just sits in my stomach. My doc told me to just eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 big meals.

Best Moment this week: We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time today and it was the most wonderful sound. The heart rate was in the 160's. Also knowing that this precious baby is growing inside me. I love it!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender in about 6 weeks!!

Sorry this post is a little behind. I am so tired in the evenings when I get off work, I just don't feel like sitting at the computer and typing a post. We are doing great. My belly is definitely getting bigger. I am still tired a lot and I don't really have much of an appetite, I am sure that will change. We are so ready to find out the gender of this baby, I am so ready to start buying stuff and planning. It has been so hard not having an ultrasound in so long. I had an ultrasound at 6, 7, 8 and 9 weeks, so I got spoiled. Now we won't have an ultrasound until we find out the sex. I love ultrasounds, it is so amazing to watch this little baby grow!

Two weeks ago I went to Seaside with the girls in my family and we had lots of fun. There are 3 of us that pregnant so it was fun to talk babies. I could really move to the beach, it is so relaxing, I am ready to go back. I am going to be huge this summer! We haven't been doing much around here. We are just really excited about Baby Mosley arriving this fall. Even though we have seen the baby on the ultrasounds, there is just something so amazing about hearing that heartbeat!

*I am going to put a poll on the right side of my blog so that you can vote on what you think Baby Mosley will be. I don't think too many people read my blog, but for those of you that do it will be fun to see what everyone thinks.*

Size of baby:(this is according to thebump.com) Baby's now the size of a prune! With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Maternity Clothes: I have no idea about the weight gain./The only thing Maternity I'm wearing now is one pair of jeans that I have.

Gender: Don't know yet. Will find out in about 9 weeks or so. Can't wait!

Movement: none

Food Cravings: no food cravings. The only time I really want something is if I see or smell something someone else has and then it usually makes me want whatever it is..hah.

What I am looking forward to: I'm looking forward to hearing the heartbeat for the first time at the end of this month.

Here is a picture of Baby Mosley at 9 weeks. He/she looks like a fat peanut but you can see some little arms and legs starting to grow. It's so neat to watch this little baby grow. I am loving every second!

January 27, 2011

You may be wondering why the title to my post my post is January 27, 2011. Well that day was a very big/special day for us. After many many prayers we found out that we are PREGNANT!!! That's right we are pregnant!!

On the afternoon of January 27th the doctors office called me while I was still at work and told me the good news. They called around 2 and Rob got off at 3. I couldn't just call him and tell him over the phone, I had been waiting too long to tell him this news so I had to tell him in person. Ever since we had started trying to get pregnant I have been holding onto this bib that says "I love daddy" to give Rob whenever we found out that we were pregnant. I left work early so that Rob could get home and then I could show up after him. I got home, jumped out of the car and ran in the house holding the bib and yelled WE'RE PREGNANT! Rob jumped up and we hugged and we both had tears in our eyes, we just couldn't believe it.

Now I had to go ahead and tell my family, I just couldn't keep that news from them. My grandmother's (my mom's mom)birthday was January 28th and my mom had gone to Birmingham for the weekend. So I thought perfect, both my sisters live there and my mom will be there, what a perfect time to get everyone together and tell them all at once. So I told them that I had a doctor's appointment Saturday morning in Birmingham and then I was going to go by Anna's to see her and the twins and that I would love to see everybody else while I was there for the afternoon. So I went over to Anna's and hung out with her and the twins and then my mom and grandmother came over and then Sara came and brought lunch. While we were all sitting around I said "Hey mom, let me show you this pretty picture I took the other day", she said "ok". So she put her glasses on not knowing what she was about to see. When she looked at my camera, this is what she saw:

It took her a minute and she was just sitting there crying, and Anna was like, "let me see" and grabbed the camera from mom and yelled "Shut Up" and hugged me. Then Sara was like " Can I see the camera" she looked at the picture and said "Well I should have known". And I got this all on video so that I have everyone's reaction. I then called my dad on the phone to tell him and he was thrilled! It was all very exciting! Everyone was so happy.

I still can't believe it! This has been a long and trying journey but now we are going to get to bring a little one into this world. Rob and I couldn't be happier and more excited! I am 9 weeks now and Baby Mosley is due around the beginning of October. This is going to be one LOVED baby. I have always said that I feel like I was put on this earth to be a mother. I feel like I have always had the motherly type personality. I can't wait to see what this wonderful journey has in store for us.
